Privacy preserving data collection using social networks

Description

I’m looking at ways in which social networks can be used to propagate surveys and collect data from users, without allowing the association of data with the identity of the user and without the need for a trusted authority to guarantee privacy. So far, it’s looking good, but I’m just now starting to “attack” my own method :-)

Timeline

If all goes as planned, I expect to have something ready to be published by May 2011 and a working prototype (using the Facebook API) ready by the end of the year.
